We were asked by the client, who had obtained planning permission, to extend their house by building a two storey side extension. This included extending the front of the house to accommodate the garage, creating a porch and carrying out various internal alterations
We constructed a two storey part rendered extension. The first floor consisted of two bedrooms, an airing cupboard and storage. On the ground floor a utility room, children’s playroom and shower /toilet room were built.
The existing kitchen, utility and dining room were brought together by knocking down walls and inserting steel beams to create an open space in which we installed a new kitchen to create a bright, large multi-functional living space. The existing ensuite and bathroom were resized and completely refurbished. We extended the front of the house to enlarge the garage and form a front porch with boot room. Externally, we resurfaced and enlarged the driveway, put up new fencing with gates and created a pathway leading to a bin store area and the back garden. New lawns and an extensive patio were laid to the back. All facias and soffits for the whole property were replaced.
A detached 4 bedroom house became a new 6 bedroom home with playroom, utility, large open space living / kitchen area, porch, extended garage, new bathrooms and en-suite, large rear patio, lawn and driveway.
The new property now provides a great space for multi-purpose living and playing which will perfectly serve a large growing family.
